Jennifer Toole, Graduate in Mass Communication
This website is a culmination of a semesters worth of themed projects. This website bridges visual communication theory driven designs with technology and digital photography. In my projects, I incorporated visual communication concepts such as the rules of Gestalt psychology (proximity and similarity), utilizing both positive and negative space, focal points, implied lines, repetition, and changes in size to simulate motion. This website also highlights a transformation from more surrealist graphic design style to a more abstract design style. I used Adobe Fireworks, Adobe Photoshop, and Dreamweaver to create my projects and website.
I am proud of this website because it integrates visual communication theory and design, technology, and my own digital photography all while telling a story about me and my favorite hobby – photography. This website all focuses around a single theme, yet each project showcased is very unique.
